Days One to Three:

Itinerary
Day 1
We leave 8H30 in the morning from Johannesburg, or 12H30 in the morning from from Nelspruit. Appreciate a picturesque drive to the Kruger National Park, in the convenience of an air-conditioned vehicle. At the entry gate, we change to an open safari vehicle. Game watching begins as soon as we get into the Park. While making our way to the camp, we look for wildlife, and you can count on to see zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, rhino, elephants, buffalo and a variety of other wildlife.

Dinner will be served, either be in the camp restaurant, or may take the style of a traditional South African barbecue, prepared by your safari guide. After dinner, your guide might set up a strong telescope for an fascinating look at the African night sky.

The camp is safely and securely fenced with an electric fence. Facilities also available are restaurant, swimming pool, a curio shop and a observation veranda looking out over the wilderness and river. Overnight in an mosquito screened, air-conditioned bungalow with and en-suite bathroom.

Day 2
We get up early and go for an early morning game drive, searching for the Big Five and any other wild animals we may come across. Early morning is the most effective time for game viewing. We might see hyenas returning to their den, or baboons enjoying the morning sun, or a herd of elephants approaching the river for a drink. Every single drive is different, and part of the exhilaration of a game drive is not knowing what you will see. A satisfying breakfast will be enjoyed a little bit later in the morning, along the way at one of the other camps, or at a picnic site.

The game drives on this safari are adaptable, and there is no set time for coming back to camp. If the day gets warm and we have seen a lot of animals, we may go back to camp after breakfast. If everybody feels fresh and we choose to stay out for a longer period, we may do that. Generally we spend the hot midday hours close to camp, where you can look through the curio shop, or take it easy at the swimming pool, or observe animals from the veranda looking over the river. Some people choose to enjoy a nap.

In the course of the afternoon, we go out on another game drive. As the day get cooler, the animals become more energetic and this is a good time again for seeing wildlife. Along the way, we might stop at a variety of observation points and game watching hides, or at picnic spots where you can stretch out your legs a bit.

We come back to camp at about sunset, and take pleasure in dinner around the fire, or in the camp restaurant.

Day 3
Early morning we go out on our last morning game drive, look for of any wildlife that may have evaded us so far. We try to see some of the big cats, like leopards, lions, or cheetahs. Even though we do not see them on every safari, our information show that we have located at very least one of the big cats, on about 90% of all our Kruger Park trips. Following breakfast, it is time to wrap up up and start off making our way towards the exit gate, as we come to the conclusion of this short safari. We generally get back in Johannesburg between 16 and 17H00.
