DAY 1:
Depart Cape Town to Cederberg Mountains
Leaving the fairest Cape with her impressive Table Mountain, we
make our way through the rugged beauty of the Cederberg
Mountains to a Wine Estate,
for some wine tasting and lunch.
Tonight we camp in this
amazing mountain. (LD)

2:
Namaqualand to the Fish River Canyon - Ai-Ais Hotsprings
Today, takes us to the majestic Fish River
Canyon, one of the largest and oldest canyons in the world.
Tonight we camp at the Ai-Ais Hot Springs.
Through the scenic and colorful Namaqualand,
carpeted in flowers in the season. After crossing into Namibia,
we set-up camp on the banks of the Fishriver. (BLD)
DAY 3:
Hobas and Castle Duwiseb
An early departure takes us to Hobas,
onward we travel through the scenic landscape of the Namaland, to Castle
Duwiseb. Here we camp next to this romantic old castle. (BLD)

4:
Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon
After a early morning visit to Castle Duwiseb, we begin our
journey through the breathtakingly beautiful southern Namibian
landscape. We travel to the Sesriem Canyon and
Sossusvlei where the red dunes meet the deep blue sky, and the
sun sets in an explosion of colors; a photographer's dream.
Tonight we camp under the desert sky, next to the highest dunes in the
world. (BLD)

5:
Namib- Naukluft Park / Namib Dune Sea
The Namib-Naukluft, a great
wilderness; a vast solitary place, harsh and primeval, the oldest desert
on earth. Through this unique scenery, we make our way to the coast,
with visits to the Kuiseb Canyons and Solitaire.
We visit the Walvis Bay lagoon with its
wide variety of birds and flamingos.
For the more adventurous, there are a variety of optional
activities. These include quad biking
and sand boarding in the dunes, skydiving or just lazing at the
beach. No tents tonight, accommodation in Chalets.

6:
Swakopmund
Swakopmund has a quaint German
colonial atmosphere. It is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. This
picturesque little town has too many attractions to mention. Tonight we
stay in comfort (chalets) between the Namib
Dunes and the Atlantic Ocean. (B)
DAY
7:
Skeleton Coast to Brandberg and Twyfelfontein
Traveling through the treacherous and legendary Skeleton
Coast. The Skeleton Coast provides a passage to the mystical Brandberg
Mountain, home of the famous Bushman (San) painting known as the White
Lady fresco.
Here the shifting dunes of the fabled Skeleton Coast give way to soaring
mountains and rolling plains, where rain is often just a fading memory
in the midday shimmer of a Damaraland mirage. This is where we will
explore this ancient rock art gallery of Bushman (San) rock
engravings at Twyfelfontein. En
route to Otjitongwe, we visit the Petrified Forest,
where a large number of fossilized Giant Red Wood tree trunks are to be
found. We will also encounter another rare and ancient plant; the Welwitschia
Mirabilis. (BLD)

8 & 9:
Himba Village and Otjitongwe Cheetah Sanctuary
The Ovahimba, semi-nomadic tribe,
live in scattered settlements throughout the region. They are
characterized by their proud yet friendly stature, and the women are
noted for their unusual beauty. The Ovahimba is still very traditional,
and this is reflected in their traditional dress and behavior.
Here we will be welcomed as friend, to learn more about this unique
people. A full morning visit to a traditional
Himba village.
Otjitongwe Cheetah Sanctuary.
Here is a opportunity to see and inter-act with
wild and tame Cheetah. (BLD)
DAY 10
& 11 & 12:
Etosha National Park via Petrified Forest
The Etosha National Park is one of
the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Lion,
elephant, black and white rhino, gnu, springbok, zebra, giraffe,
congregate in their thousands in this area. We will spend three days in
this beautiful park to embark on early morning and afternoon game
drives, as well as game viewing in the evenings at floodlit
waterholes.
We will stay at one of the famous Okaukuejo, Halali or Namutoni
camps. (BLD)
DAY 13:
Okavango River - Northern Namibia
Moving through the wild un-spoilt northern Namibia, we make our
way to the NKwazi River Camp, on the bank of the Okavango
River.
To hear the cry of a fish-eagle at sunset, or the beat of African drums
around the campfire,
this is truly Africa, here we will explore the traditional
African villages of this region. We travel through this wild
Africa, where you will experience true Africa in all its diversity. It's
people, the diversity of natural Africa.
Here we will camp on the banks of this vibrant river. (BLD)
DAY 14
& 15 & 16:
Okavango Delta - Botswana
After an early start, we make our way along the western side of
the Delta, to Delta Dawn Camp in the Okavango Delta,
Botswana. From the edge of the Delta, 4x4 vehicles and motorboats
transfer us to Delta Dawn Camp (1,5 hours),
where we spend the night. The next 2 days are spent exploring the
network of water pathways through thick vegetation in mokoros
(traditional canoes) and speedboat.
The Okavango, a massive river spilling its contents into the
Kalahari desert sands, creates one of the world's only true inland deltas, and a unique ecosystem that
supports a huge variety of animal and plant life. We spend two nights camping in a
remote part of this wilderness, exploring the area on foot, game
tracking and by mekoro.
There will also be time to simply appreciate the remoteness and serenity
of the area. (BLD)
DAY 17
& 18:
Chobe National Park
Today we cross the border into Botswana, to the Chobe
National Park.
It is a wilderness area of great beauty with rich green vegetation, palm
trees, teeming with bird life and a vast population of wild animals,
including large herds of elephant, buffalo, hippos
and crocodiles.
We camp at Thebe, on the banks of the Chobe River and relax around the
campfire in the evening. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery and
magnificent sunsets. We explore the reserve with an optional
game cruise and drive. (BLD)
DAY 19
& 20:
Victoria Falls - Zambia
From wild splendor of Chobe, we cross the Zambezi river by
pontoon, to Livingstone in Zambia.
Victoria Falls - without doubt one of the
greatest and most spectacular sights where the waters of the mighty Zambezi river tumble down in a continuous thunder.
In
Livingstone, we would be staying at the Zambezi Waterfront. Here are
various optional activities for your
own expense to do: Bungy Jump into the Falls,
white water rafting, sunset cruises. (B)

after breakfast.
