Each safari are different, yet all with excellent game viewing with
abundant wildlife and so many exciting ways to enjoy it. If

Ranger
Guided Safaris - Unique
to Gateway Africa Safaris
Specialist Ranger
guided, camping safaris run with a maximum of 6 clients. Scheduled
and Custom
designed, small group and private Ranger guided safaris, are
extra-ordinary 'one
of a kind' safaris, unique to Gateway African Safaris.
Exploring diverse African wilderness areas in Namibia, Botswana and
Zambia,
with game tracking, game drives and exploration walks. These
safaris are generally tailor-made to your specifications.
A
Ranger guide,
who is both the driver and a cook, will accompany the clients. We want our
clients to be part of the experience and therefore ask them to participate
in the tour. This means, that the participants will be responsible for
performing and helping with certain tasks, such as setting up and the
breaking down of overnight camps (tents) and cleaning dishes... The Ranger
will do the cooking and be responsible for all the other organizational
duties.
Camping
Safaris, semi-participation
Our
semi-participation camping safaris run with a maximum of 10
clients. We
operate this type of safari throughout Southern Africa. A normal Safari
guide, who is both a driver and a cook, will accompany the clients. We
want our clients to be part of the experience and therefore ask them to
participate in the tour. This means, that the participants will be
responsible for performing and helping with certain tasks, such as setting
up and the breaking down of overnight camps (tents, chairs, tables),
packing and unpacking the vehicle, assisting with preparation of meals and
cleaning dishes... The guide will do the cooking and be responsible for
all the other organizational duties. Scheduled safari departure dates.
Upgraded
Camping Safari, semi-participation
Most
of our semi-participation camping safaris could be upgraded, to include
more nights roomed accommodation. This type of safari also runs with a maximum of 10 clients and a
guide, who is both the driver and the cook. This option offers two
different levels of accommodation. The group will be a combination of
clients booked on a semi-participation Camping Safari as well clients
booked on a semi-participation Upgraded Camping Safari. Scheduled
safari departure dates.
We
make use of properties that have camping facilities as well as chalets,
lodges or tented camps. Standard and upgraded
clients will travel and enjoy their meals together. The Upgraded Option
gives the additional comfort of extra-bedded accommodation. The
accommodation used is simple, clean, 2-3 star typical African standard,
with a mix of shared and private bathrooms. Clients are also asked to help
out with the camp duties; setting up and breaking down the overnight
camps, tents, chairs, packing and unpacking the vehicle, assisting with
preparation of meals and cleaning dishes. The guide will do the cooking
and be responsible for all other organizational duties.
Luxury
Mobile Camping Safari, non-participation
Gateway
African Safaris runs this type of safari mainly in Southern Africa with a
maximum of 5 clients on scheduled tours. These safaris are the famous Wilderness
Luxury Mobile Safaris. A specialist Safari guide and assistants will
accompany the group. The Crew will be responsible for all the camp duties
such as setting up the camp, preparing and cooking the meals and cleaning
the camp. We can also tailor-make your camping safari to whatever the
group size may be! Scheduled safari departure dates.
Luxury
Lodge Safari, non-participation
Gateway
African Safaris, in also runs scheduled Lodge Safaris. These safaris
also run with a maximum of 10 clients, accompanied by a guide, who is also
the driver. Most of the breakfasts and dinners are provided in the
restaurants of the Lodges. On certain days (such as when we stay inside a
National Park) packed lunches might be provided. This is a
non-participation trip. Scheduled safari departure dates.
Tailor-made
Safaris
Creating
a tailor-made safari is an excellent way to make your African adventure
dreams come true. Throughout this brochure you will find numerous
small-group, scheduled safaris that Gateway African Safaris runs in
Southern Africa. You can join one of our scheduled trips or if you prefer,
one of our experienced travel consultants can custom design a private
safari, or coach tour to meet your departure date, time period, group size
and budget. Guided Safaris are most popular, where you have the luxury and
added security of a guide to accompany you throughout the safari. Choose
from deluxe, lodge, camping, adventure, walking, trekking safaris and
family safaris.
Our principal aim on all of our safaris is to make your trip as enjoyable,
comfortable, and unforgettable as possible. We have a number of safari
vehicles, and for each tour we use the vehicle most suited to group size,
tour style, and budget.
