Overview of
Camping Safari Options
We offer
you a selection of camping itineraries and options throughout the Southern
African region, that could be upgraded from a camping safari to a part, or
full accommodated safari.
 Tented
Camping Safaris: Our tented camping safaris make
use of canvas 3-person dome tents with a height of 1.8m: All accommodation on
standard camping safaris are in tents, unless otherwise stated in the
itinerary – All tent windows and doors are Mosquito-screened. We also
provide our guests with comfortable 5cm thick mattresses. On most safaris,
a sleeping bag could also be hired.
We make use of official campsites. All campsites have shared ablution
facilities with hot showers, flushing toilets and running water (unless
otherwise specified in the detailed itinerary). Some campsites also have a
swimming-pool, kiosk and various other facilities. Camping

Camping
& Lodge Safaris: On
a upgraded camping safari the accommodation is mixed
between tented
camping and lodge accommodation, where guests will spend some nights
camping and other nights will be spent in Lodges, Tented Camps and/or
Chalets. We make use of mid-range standard lodge accommodation, with most
of them offering a private bathroom with a shower and a toilet, while
others have shared ablutions as on normal camping safaris. Half

Lodge Tours:
All safari accommodation consists
of lodges, chalets and permanent tented camps. We make use of safari camps
that have camping facilities as well as chalets, lodges or tented camps.
This option gives the guest the additional comfort of bedded accommodation
on the whole safari. Full
LOdge Tours
On all types of our camping trips, the safari guide will be responsible
for the cooking and provisioning of all the meals. All guests booked on
the various camping, upgraded and fully upgraded camping safari options will enjoy the same wholesome meals. These meals are generally
enjoyed together in the evening around a camp fire, at set table.
